Devices and methods for air-assisted loading of soil in an earth-moving apparatus (10) are disclosed. One aspect of a device includes a source of a current of air (54) and at least one conduit for directing the current of air towards soil moved by the earth-moving apparatus (10). The apparatus (10) includes a frame (12) having opposing sides (24, 26), supported by at least two ground-engaging wheels (22), and a bucket (16) having a floor and a pair of upstanding sidewalls. A cutting blade (14) may be attached to the bucket or disposed between the opposing sides of the frame. An air supply system (54) for delivering a current of air to soil moved by the earth-moving apparatus (10) is also included. Methods for loading soil into an earth-moving apparatus (10) are also disclosed.
Cette invention concerne des dispositifs et des procédés permettant d'effectuer un chargement de terre assisté par air comprimé dans un engin de terrassement. Une variante de ce dispositif comprend une source de courant d'air et au moins un conduit servant à diriger le courant d'air vers la terre déplacée par l'engin de terrassement. Ce dispositif est conçu pour être connecté de manière fonctionnelle à l'engin de terrassement. Cette invention concerne en outre un engin de terrassement. Cet engin comprend un cadre comportant deux côtés opposés reposant sur au moins deux roues venant au contact du sol et un godet comportant un fond et une paire de parois latérales verticales. Une lame de coupe peut être fixée au godet ou disposée entre les côtés opposés du cadre. Un système d'alimentation en air permettant d'envoyer un courant d'air sur la terre déplacée par l'engin de terrassement est également utilisé. Cette invention concerne en outre des procédés de chargement de terre dans un engin de terrassement.
