The invention relates to a method for the production of a airbag, more particularly a one-piece woven (OPW) airbag, comprising single layer and double layer areas (3, 1) (3, 1), a top and bottom outer surface and a coating (2) in at least certain areas. The invention is characterized in that the single layer area (3) are sealed in such a way that said areas are substantially impermeable to fluids.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour produire un airbag, notamment un airbag tissé d'une seule pièce (OPW), comprenant des zones à une seule couche et à deux couches (3, 1), une surface extérieure supérieure et une surface extérieure inférieure, et un revêtement (2) appliqué au moins sur certaines zones dudit airbag. Le procédé selon l'invention est caractérisé en ce que les zones à une seule couche (3) sont étanchéifiées de façon à être sensiblement imperméables aux fluides.
