An air bag start control device of vehicle capable of optimally controlling the operation of an air bag by determining whether a person is seated on a vehicle seat or not and, when seated, by determining the body form thereof, wherein an air bladder type pressure sensor is fitted to either or both of the back rest and seat part of the vehicle seat to control the amount and the direction of inflation of the air bag according to whether or not living body signals such as respiration and pulsation are included in electric outputs from the pressure sensors, when included, according to whether the outputs exceed specified limits or not.
Dispositif de contrôle de déclenchement d'un airbag de véhicule capable de réguler de façon optimale le fonctionnement d'un airbag, qui détecte l'éventuelle présence d'une personne dans un siège de véhicule et, en cas de réponse positive, détermine la forme du corps de la personne. Un capteur de pression de type coussin à air est monté sur le dossier ou le coussin du siège, ou sur les deux, ce qui permet de réguler l'étendue et la direction du gonflage de l'airbag en fonction de la présence de signes vitaux d'un corps tels que la respiration et le pouls, compris dans les sorties électriques des capteurs de pression, en cas de présence de ces capteurs, en fonction d'un éventuel dépassement par ces sorties des limites indiquées.
