An air controller for an air pump capable of simply regulating the air delivery rate of the air pump. The air pump includes an electromagnetic driving mechanism, a magnet carried on the tip of an arm, and a diaphragm connected to the intermediate portion of the arm. The magnet is reciprocated by an electromagnetic action exerted between the electromagnetic driving mechanism and the magnet, the intake and discharge action being effected by the expansion and contraction of the diaphragm. The electromagnetic driving mechanism is mounted on a housing in such a manner that its distance from the magnet can be changed. By changing the distance between the core and magnet, and hence the reciprocating rate of the magnet changes, thus changing the air delivery rate.
