6713 INVENTOR: PAUL SCHNEIDER INVENTION: AIR COOLED STATIC POWER CONVERTER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An air-cooled static power converter re- spectively containing at least two series connected semi- conductor elements and at least one fuse connected in series with the semiconductor elements. The semiconductor elements are provided with cooling means. The air-cooled static power converter is constructed such that the fuse between the cooling means of the semiconductor elements is attached by means of flexible, electrically conductive holders. These holders also carry the fuse or fuse means. An advantage of this arrangement resides in that the construction of the converter is simplified because the heretofore required supporting current rails for the semiconductor elements and/or the fuse is no longer needed. All exchangeable elements are easily accessible and the semiconductor elements are not un- desirably mechanically loaded.
