ABSTRACT An air current deflector shield is provided having a one piece construction so as to be mounted directly to the hood of a vehicle. The shield includes opposite ends which wrap around the fenders of the vehicle A plurality of apertures are provided in the leading edge of the shield so as to allow air to pass through the shield. The shield functions to deflect air current upwardly over the windshield of a moving vehicle. The opposite ends of the shield prevent air from being drawn inwardly behind the shield while the apertures allow air to pass through the shield, thereby minimizing air turbulence behind the shield.
