ABSTRACT An apertured component for an air cushion vehicle flexible skirt, a particular example being a panel of a skirt member or bag member that comprises a part of a flexible skirt, is formed from flexible impermeable material reinforced by at least one layer of a fabric having apertures preformed between threads of the fabric. In manufacture of the component impermeable material is excluded from at least some of these apertures so that there are no broken threads at the apertures in the finished component. The fabric may be of woven construction having the apertures formed between groups of warp and weft threads.
