ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An air cushioned game puck includes an upper housing and lower housing formed of a molded plastic material and configured to be joined forming a hollow housing having an interior chamber. The housing thus formed defines an upper aperture and a plurality of downwardly facing lower apertures. The housing further defines a downwardly curved skirt which forms a floatation chamber surrounding the downwardly facing apertures. A resilient mounting system secures an electric motor within the housing and supports a driven air impeller therein. A battery energy source is supported within the housing and drives the electric motor. A resilient generally annular bumper encircles the perimeter of the support housing and provides an impact absorbing cushion to protect the motor and air impeller during game play impact. When the motor is energized, the game puck tends to hover or float above the underlying game play surface upon a cushion of air formed within the floatation chamber.
