ABSTRACT A room terminal for use in an air conditioning system includes a valve housing adapted for connection to a source of conditioned air and having an air inlet. A self regulating air valve is movably mounted in this housing. The regulating mechanism moves the valve so as to provide a desired constant rate of air flow through the terminal over a predetermined operating range of air pressures in the system. A second housing communicates with the valve housing and has an air outlet and insulated side walls. A reheating device heats air passing through this air outlet and is mounted on the second housing. Preferably the valve housing and the second housing together form a sealed terminal unit in order to prevent any inflow of air during operation thereof. Preferably a pipe resonator is mounted between the valve housing and the second housing.
