A buoy designed to be dropped from an airborne aircraft and comprising a reduced-size body (201) with no scoop (105) and no inflating port (106), wherein the join between the buoy float (202) and the body is sealed and a triangular spoiler is arranged on the lower portion of the float for collecting air as the buoy drops towards the sea. An aperture (206) is provided in the float wall under the spoiler to enable the collected air to enter and inflate the float. A non-return valve (207) keeps the float inflated. As a result, inflation of the float may be improved and the rate of descent of the buoy may be restricted.

L'invention concerne les bouées aéroportées destinées à être larguées depuis un aéronef en vol. Elle consiste, dans une bouée dont le corps (201) est réduit et ne comporte ni pelle (105) ni ouverture de gonflage (106), à rendre étanche la liaison entre le ballonnet (202) de flottaison de la bouée et le corps et à placer sur la partie inférieure de ce ballonnet un becquet (205) de forme triangulaire permettant de capter l'air lors de la descente de la bouée vers l'eau. Une ouverture (206) est ménagée dans la paroi du ballonnet en dessous du becquet pour permettre à l'air ainsi capté de rentrer dans ce ballonnet pour le gonfler. Une valve anti-retour (207) permet de maintenir le gonflage du ballonnet. Elle permet d'améliorer le gonflage du ballonnet et de limiter la vitesse de descente de la bouée.
