An air extraction hood comprises a canopy defining an enclosed air collection and treatment zone. The canopy has an operatively downwardly directed air inlet through which air to be treated can enter the zone, as well as an air outlet through which air can be discharged from the zone. The canopy is mountable with clearance above a cooking surface such that its inlet is located above the cooking surface. Mounting means for mounting treatment means inside the canopy in the collection and treatment zone, between the inlet and outlet are provided. Passageway defining means defining an air passageway between the inlet and the mounting means along which air can pass is also provided. At least part of the passageway defining means is curved from the inlet to the mounting means, to enhance air flow along the passageway.
Hotte à extraction d'air composée d'un capot qui définit une enceinte fermée de captation et de traitement de l'air. Le capot est muni d'une entrée d'air dirigée vers le bas par laquelle l'air à traiter peut entrer dans l'enceinte, ainsi qu'une sortie d'air par laquelle l'air peut être évacué de l'enceinte. Le capot peut être monté au-dessus d'un surface de cuisson tout en gardant du jeu de façon à ce que son entrée soit située au-dessus de la surface de cuisson. Des dispositifs de montage sont fournis pour fixer le dispositif de traitement à l'intérieur du capot dans l'enceinte de captation et de traitement de l'air, entre l'entrée et la sortie. Des conduits définissant un conduit d'air entre l'entrée et le dispositif de montage le long duquel l'air peut passer sont également fournis. Au moins une partie du conduit est courbé de l'entrée au dispositif de montage, afin d'augmenter le débit d'air dans le conduit.
