ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for measuring the flow rate of suction air in an internal combustion engine in which the heat radiation characteristic of a heat generator disposed in the suction air passage, which characteristic varies with the lapse of time due to dust and like foreign matters depositing on the heat generator, is calibrated on the basis of the air flow rate value measured by an air flow rate measuring device of differential pressure type so as to insure accurate measurement of the suction air flow rate.
