ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An air flow reverser apparatus having a main supply duct, and a main return duct, connectable to the supply and return of an air flow system, three branch supply ducts communicating with the main supply duct, three branch return ducts communicating with the main return duct, supply dampers for shutting off either one, or two of the branch supply ducts, return dampers for shutting off either two, or one of the branch return ducts, and the supply and return damper means being connected for movement in unison. Also disclosed is a processing chamber through which air is passed during processing, and having air flow openings in the chamber, at the sides, and centre air flow openings in the chamber, and incorporating an air flow reverser having the above noted characteristics enabling air to flow across such chamber either from the sides to the centre or from the centre to the sides of the chamber. The centre air flow openings may be centrally located supply and return registers, or may be in the form of a median wall with air flow passages.
