Abstract An air flow seeder is disclosed which has an arrangement for facilitating introduction of particulate materials such as seed and fertiliser into an air stream for distribution to seeding outlets. The arrangement includes according to this invention, a conduit arranged to carry an air flow therealong, an opening through a wall of the conduit arranged to allow the particulate material to pass therethrough into the air stream, and within the conduit adjacent to the said opening an acrofoil member having a surface shape adjacent to the opening adapted to effect substantial lowering of pressure of air passing between the shape and the opening, and a surface shape on the other side adapted to facilitate air flow therepast. Preferably, the further surface shape of the acrofoil member is substantially plannar and parallel to the facing wall of the conduit. The first surface may be of stream-lined shape in cross-section to provide, with the wall of the conduit, a stream- lined constriction to effect a reduction in air pressure in its vicinity.
