A box-shaped air intake muffler wherein upper and lower separate dish-shaped two halves mated and joined to one another. One of the halves unitarily has an air intake connecting duct to be connected to an air intake passage of a throttle valve unit of an engine. Both of the two halves have concave portions unitarily formed therewith so as to protrude outward, respectively, with respective concave portions being mated with one another to form an outside air intake duct for introducing outside air.
