An air mat comprising an air mat body constructed by two sheets of outside and rearside respectively made of soft non-ventilation synthetic resin sheets and a plurality of forming partition sheets, and various parts welded to the air mat, such as air supply and exhaustion taps and automatic pressure controllers. A swelled condition of a plurality of air chambers formed by the partition sheets is held under the atmosphere or under a supporting pressure previously set. The air mat is manufactured by various steps including a welding step in which respective partition sheets and the outside and rearside sheets are simultaneously welded by upper and lower electrodes of a double high frequency welding machine.

Matelas pneumatique composé de deux feuilles souples, une extérieure et une arrière, en résine synthétique non ventilée, de plusieurs feuilles formant des sections, de diverses pièces soudées au matelas pneumatique, par exemple une bouche d'admission et une bouche d'évacuation d'air, et de régulateurs de pression automatiques. La fabrication du matelas pneumatique comporte les étapes suivantes : soudage simultané des feuilles formant les sections et des feuilles extérieure et arrière au moyen des électrodes supérieur et inférieur d'une machine à souder haute fréquence capable de souder deux côtés.
