An air port damper system (10) for a recovery boiler employs plural louvers (22) for altering the exit angle of air through an air port. Dampers (60, 62, 64, 66) are provided to enable adjustment of the flow through the device. Suitably, the device may be retracted away from the air port, to enable manual or automatic cleaning of the port. Further the damper system can be removed for maintenance/service purposes, without requiring shutdown of the boiler.
Un système d'amortisseur d'arrivée d'air de combustion (10) destiné à une chaudière de récupération met en oeuvre plusieurs volets (22) destinés à modifier l'angle de sortie de l'air à travers l'arrivée d'air de combustion. Des amortisseurs (60, 62, 64, 66) sont prévus pour permettre le réglage du flux à travers le dispositif. D'une manière appropriée, le dispositif peut être rétracté à l'opposé de l'arrivée d'air de combustion afin de permettre le nettoyage manuel ou automatique de l'arrivée d'air. De plus, le système d'amortisseur peut être retiré à des fins d'entretien/service sans nécessiter l'arrêt de la chaudière.
