ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An air powered humidifier unit is mounted in a passage between the warm air supply plenum and the cool air return plenum of a furnace and consists essentially of a water pickup rotor mounted for rotation with its lower sector passing through a body of water and a bladed fan connected through reduction gearing to the rotor, the fan being dis- posed with running clearance within an end wall collar of a housing that surrounds the rotor and constitutes an effective end portion of the passage, and an adjustable valve may be pro- vided in the passage for controlling fan speed.
