A swing-arm sootblower (56) for a rotary regenerative air preheater is mounted to sweep across the air preheater rotor (14) at an adjustable constant speed or angular velocity. The sootblower (56) has means for sootblowing with a relatively low pressure medium such as air or steam or with high pressure water. The nozzle unit (78) is equipped with a low pressure nozzle (108) and a plurality of high pressure nozzles (110). The high pressure nozzles (110) are arranged in a row and the nozzle unit (78) is mounted so that the row is at an angle to the swing arm (74, 76, 77) such that the row of high pressure nozzles (110) is parallel to the heat transfer plates and tangential to the rotor (14) at the outside of the swing of the arm (74, 76, 77).
L'invention concerne un souffleur de suie à bras oscillant (56) pour un préchauffeur rotatif régénérateur d'air monté pour entraîner le rotor préchauffeur d'air(14) à une vitesse constante ou à une vélocité angulaire ajustables. Le souffleur de suie (56) est pourvu d'un dispositif pour souffler la suie avec un support à pression relativement basse, tel que l'air ou la vapeur ou l'eau à haute pression. L'unité à buse (78) est équipée d'une buse à basse pression (108) et de plusieurs buses à haute pression (110). Les buses à haute pression (110) sont disposées en ligne et l'unité à buse (78) est montée de sorte que la ligne forme un angle avec le bras oscillant (74,76,77), de manière à ce que la rangée de buses à haute pression (110) soit parallèle aux plaques d'échange thermique et tangentielle par rapport au rotor (14) à l'extérieur de l'oscillation du bras (74,76,77).
