On agricultural implements that utilize tubes containing pressurized air to deliver granules from the granular holding tank to the soil, the device is a vented chamber through which seeds or fertilizer pass on the way from the implements seed or fertilizer holding tank to the device that places the granules in the soil. This vented chamber is generally of a larger diameter than the tube conveying the granules. A deflector in the interior of the chamber diffuses the airflow allowing most of the air pressure to escape through the vents. Releasing the air pressure allows the seeds to fall by gravity through the device to the soil, thus reducing seed bounce.
