Air Pump Abstract of the Disclosure The invention relates to an air pump comprising a piston, which is located inside a piston housing. This piston has a piston plate which is moulded integral- ly on a piston rod, and a pressure-generating element, which is held centrally, and is in the form of a re- silient membrane-like annular disc. The disc is placed loosely on the outer surface of this piston plate. The diameter of this disc is equal to the diameter of the piston plate, or being somewhat greater than this diameter. When the piston is pressed into the piston housing, the disc bears against the inner wall of the piston housing, with a sealing fit.
