C-3239 AIR PUMP WITH CENTRIFUGAL FILTER Abstract of the disclosure An air pump, adapted to supply air to an engine exhaust system, has a rotating filter element which centrifuges dust and water from the air flowing into the pump to assure adequate pump life. The filter element has a cylindrical extension which overlies and is closely adjacent to a rim on the pump housing and is effective to inhibit passage of foreign material between the filter element and the rim.
