An air separator (1) comprises a first chamber (2) where blood or other fluid can be received, an inlet and an outlet port associated to the bottom wall (4) and in fluid communication with the first chamber. A first channel (14) extending along the lateral wall of the separator and has a first and a second portion (16 and 18). The channel second portion (18) terminally forms an orifice (15) facing the chamber and extending in an area closer to a top wall (5) of the chamber (2) than to the bottom wall of the same chamber. The orifice faces the top of the separator and has a flow passage cross section greater than that of a first portion (16) of the channel.
Cette invention concerne un séparateur d'air (1) comprenant une première chambre (2) pouvant contenir du sang ou un autre fluide, un orifice d'amenée et un orifice de sortie associés à la paroi de fond (4) et en communication fluidique avec la première chambre. Un premier canal (14) s'étendant le long de la paroi latérale du séparateur présente une première et une seconde portion (16, 18). La seconde portion (18) du canal se termine à son extrémité par un orifice (15) placé en face de la chambre et s'étendant dans une zone plus proche d'une paroi supérieure (5) de ladite chambre (2) que de la paroi de fond de cette même chambre. L'orifice est placé en face de la portion supérieure du séparateur et présente une section transversale de passage de flux supérieure à celle de la première portion (16) du canal.
