An air intake that is a conduit contained entirely within a burner tube of an oil storage tank. The conduit draws fresh air from the exterior of the tank and directs it along the conduit to the burner. During passage through the conduit, the air is heated by hot exhaust gases passing though the burner tube to the exhaust stack. The air flow in the conduit is directionally opposite to the flow of the exhaust gases in the burner tube.
