ABSTRACT A tube-within-a-tube, counter-flow, air-to-air heat exchanger utilizing a rigid outer tube and a continuous, flexible inner tube which is spiralled around a centre core. Fresh air is transported in the inner tube, which has helically wound corrugations. The corrugations create air turbulence inside and outside of the inner tube thus permitting a rapid exchange of heat with no significant pressure drop.
