ABSTRACT Exhaust pollutants of a vehicle are reduced by providing dry, substantially moisture-free air which is mixed with the fuel. The conven- tional air filter is removed and replaced by a housing containing a plurality of sealed glass tubes having inert gas therein which treats the air by subjecting it to ultraviolet rays and additional heat. The air has been initially heated to remove the moisture and subjected to an ultraviolet treatment before it reaches the housing.
