An air treatment device is described that is adapted to be mounted on, and directly supported by, a socket. A treatment medium, such as an electrostatic filter (33), is located at the front of the device. A carefully designed fan (15) draws air through the filter and particles with a particle size above 0.1µm are removed. When the filter becomes too dirty it is replaced.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de traitement de l'air conçu pour être monté sur une douille lui servant directement de support. Un milieu de traitement, tel qu'un filtre électrostatique (33) est disposé sur la partie avant du dispositif. Un ventilateur (15) soigneusement conçu attire l'air dans le filtre et les particules présentant une taille supérieure à 0,1 mu m sont éliminées. On remplace le filtre lorsqu'il devient trop sale.
