Afin de pouvoir gonfler aisément un pneumatique, monté sur jante avec un anneau d'étanchéité (6) disposé entre les deux bourrelets, sans présenter les inconvénients usuels de montage, le dispositif de gonflage est formé d'une valve (V, V') munie d'un élément de verrouillage (2, 2') destiné à s'associer à un organe de verrouillage (83,51) extérieur à la valve. Le procédé de gonflage consiste alors à introduire la valve (V, V') munie de sa tige (1,1') et de son élément de verrouillage (2, 2') dans (orifice (64) prévu dans l'anneau 6 et dans l'organe de verrouillage (83,51) puis de faire subir à la valve V une rotation.
