ABSTRACT There is provided an airbag having a bottom wall, a top wall, and side walls. The top wall has at least one downwardly depending elongated flap and the bottom wall has at least one upwardly extending elongated flap in alignment with the downwardly depending flap. A plurality of strap members extend between the flaps, each strap member including a stretchable resilient member and fastening means for securing one end of the resilient member to one flap and the other end to the other flap. In this way, the resilient member will extend substantially normally with respect to the bottom and top walls.
