Abstract Apparatus for dispensing particulate materials in accurately controllable dosages from a container carried by an aircraft includes a rotor that is disposed under the container to uniformly dispense the material from the container. The rotor has recesses to carry the particulate material from an opening in the bottom of the container to a dispensing station. The rotor is enclosed within a housing that prevents particulate material from leaving the container except in response to action of the rotor. The housing includes an edge or blade that levels off the recesses. The lips of the recesses and the edge or blade are cooperatively shaped to reduce interference with operation of the rotor. A multi-part rotor housing can be used to provide adjust- ability for a variety of particulate materials.
