The invention concerns an air box (1) in a regenerative thermal oxidiser comprising one or several beds (3) of a heat-storing and heat-transferring material. The air box (1) is connected with a gas inlet/outlet (2) and comprises a gas permeable surface (9) that is turned towards one of said beds (3). The air box (1) is further characterised in that distribution means (4) are provided in said air box (1).
