ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A system for heating aircraft deicing fluid (ADF) leaving a hydraulic fluid-to-ADF heat exchanger submerged in a tank. Fixed displacement and pressure-compensated, variable displacement hydraulic pumps are driven by an engine with their outputs being dumped to the heat exchanger through separate relief valves; the pressure setting of the relief valve associated with the fixed pump being higher than that of the relief valve associated with the variable pump and a pilot line communicating the pressure of the fixed pump to the compensator of the variable pump. ,, .
