The invention relates to an aircraft including a fuselage and a ventral fairing (100). The fairing is in two structurally independent parts (101, 102). For example, a first part (101) of the fairing comprises of a front stub (103), a central stub (104) and a first section (106) of a rear stub (105). A second part (102) of the fairing comprises of a second section (107) of the rear stub. The second part can be displaced with respect to the first part of the fairing. The invention also relates to a ventral fairing (100) for an aircraft (1) comprising two independent parts (101, 102).
