A landing gear (16) of an aircraft located in front of a fuel tank is equipped with a protection device (22), designed to automatically disconnect, at least in part, the landing gear (16 ) from the structure that supports it. The protection device (22) includes, for example, a part (40), hinged on the landing gear, and mechanisms (42) connecting the part to pins (38) through which the landing gear (16) is mounted on the aircraft. In the case of a bad landing, the landing gear rotates backwards and the part (40) strikes a reinforced wall placed on the fuel tank. The part (40) pivots around its axis and releases the pins (38) from their housing. The perforation of the tank is thus avoided.
Un train d'atterrissage (16) d'avion, situé devant un réservoir de carburant, est équipé d'un dispositif de protection (22), conçu de façon à déconnecter automatiquement, au moins en partie, le train d'atterrissage (16) de la structure qui la supporte. Le dispositif de protection (22) comprend par exemple une pièce (40), articulée sur le train, et des mécanismes (42) reliant cette pièce à des broches (38) par laquelle le train d'atterrissage (16) est monté sur l'avion. En cas de mauvais atterrissage, le train pivote vers l'arrière et la pièce (40) vient heurter une paroi renforcée placée sur le réservoir. La pièce (40) pivote alors autour de son axe et dégage les broches (38) de leur logement. Une perforation du réservoir est ainsi évitée.
