ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for controlling an airflow to a boiler or the like and maintaining a desired quantity thereof. The apparatus comprises a controller for generating a control signal of a level corresponding to a required airflow, a variable-frequency power supply for producing an output of a frequency corresponding to the control signal level so as to drive a ventilation-actuating motor, and means for detecting any deviation of the control signal level from a predetermined range and retaining the frequency of the motor-driving output at a proper value, whereby the airflow is maintained at or above a preset value.
