ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A centrifugal fan having an integral air flow measurement apparatus, the fan including an inlet cone having a flared inlet for receiving air and a flared outlet for expelling air into the center of a rotating fan wheel. The cone has a throat having a minimum diameter, with apertures defined within the throat and in communication with a manometer. Apertures in the face of the cone near the flared inlet are connected to the manometer to provide a pressure comparison between the face of the fan and the narrowest portion of the throat. A controller monitors the pressure differential, calculates a flow rate based on known characteristics of the cone, and adjusts the fam speed to maintain the desired air flow.
