An airfoil blade (40) in a powered toy aircraft (10) has a body (42) with a cushioned edge (54, 56). The body has a first end (44) adjoining a hub (46), a second opposing end (46), a forward edge (48), and an opposing trailing edge (50). The cushioned edge is attached mechanically to the body and extends along the forward edge so as to form a cushioned leading edge (54) of the blade or is attached along the second end to form a cushioned blade tip (56) or both. The body is formed from a first resiliently flexible polymer plastic material. The cushioned edge is formed from a second noticeably softer material such as an elastomer.

L'invention concerne une aube (40) à profil aérodynamique d'un avion-jouet motorisé (10) comprenant un corps (42) avec un bord (54, 56) amortissant les chocs. Ledit corps présente une première extrémité (44) adjacente à un moyeu (46), une seconde extrémité opposée (46), un bord avant (48), et un bord arrière opposé (50). Le bord amortissant les chocs est mécaniquement fixé au corps, et s'étend le long du bord avant de manière à former un bord avant (54) amortissant les chocs de l'aube, ou bien fixé le long de la seconde extrémité pour former la pointe (56) amortissant les chocs de l'aube ou les deux. Le corps est formé d'un premier matériau plastique de polymère flexible et élastique. Le bord amortissant les chocs est formé d'un second matériau plus mou, par exemple un élastomère.
