Le septum peut comporter deux ailettes (18) formant une embase plate permettant une fixation aisée sur la peau du patient. Le cathéter selon l'invention, du fait de l'existence d'un bouchon étanche, ne présente pas de risques d'infection comme un cathéter externalisé ouvert.
