A re-sealable airtight paint applicator cover for re-sealable airtight containment of a paint-wetted area on a paint applicator has first and second clam shell members, the first clam shell member for snug removable airtight engagement with the second clam shell member so as to form a paint applicator wetted end containment cavity therebetween, the cavity adapted to receive therein the paint wetted area of the applicator, an aperture in the re-sealable airtight paint applicator cover for re-sealable airtight mating around a handle of the paint applicator. The paint applicator wetted area may be placed between the first and second clam shell members and the first and second clam shell members removably and re-sealably mounted together so that the paint applicator wetted area is contained within the cavity and the cavity is airtight. The paint applicator handle extends from the aperture in the re-sealable airtight paint applicator cover.
