A method and apparatus for monitoring and reporting alarms includes a central monitoring facility which monitors a plurality of remote subscribers. Alarm information is reported to the central monitoring facility by a subscriber. The central monitoring facility causes a summary of the alarm to be transmitted to specific other subscribers. This enables the recipients of the summary to provide follow up reports and to assess how to respond to the report. GPS coordinates are used to identify the location of a reporting subscriber and to select specific other subscribers who should receive the report according to the location of the reporting subscriber.
La présente invention a pour objet une méthode et une installation pour la surveillance et la signalisation d'alarmes comportant un module central de contrôle dédié à la surveillance d'une pluralité d'abonnés à distance. La signalisation des alarmes est transmise au module central de contrôle par un abonné. Le module central de contrôle génère un rapport de synthèse des informations concernant l'alarme et transmet celui-ci à d'autres abonnés spécifiques. Ceci permet aux abonnés qui reçoivent le rapport de synthèse de produire des rapports de suivi et des scénarios de réponse en fonction du rapport en question. Une liaison GPS assure la coordination des informations et sert à localiser l'événement rapporté par un abonné, elle permet en outre de sélectionner d'autres abonnés spécifiques à qui le rapport d'incident devra être transmis en fonction de la provenance du rapport.
