The invention relates to the field of fuel cells, in particular to alcohol-air fuel cells (AAFC) and may be used during the production of generators on the base of these AAFC. In accordance with the invention AAFC comprises an anode chamber with liquid catalytically active anode, an air chamber with catalytically active gas-diffusion cathode, an electrolyte chamber with a liquid electrolyte and membrane electrolyte, wich is positioned between the cathode and the anode, wherein an aqueous alkaline solution is used as the liquid electrolyte and a non- platinum catalyst, tolerant in respect to alcohole, is used as the cathode catalist.The object of the invention is to create an AAFC that has high efficiency and is inexpensive.

La présente invention a trait au domaine des piles à combustible, notamment aux piles à combustible alcool-air (AAFC), et elle peut être mise en oeuvre au cours de la production de générateurs sur la base de ces AAFC. Conformément à l'invention, la pile à combustible AAFC comporte une chambre anodique renfermant une anode liquide catalytiquement active, une chambre à air renfermant une cathode à diffusion gazeuse catalytiquement active, une chambre électrolytique renfermant un électrolyte liquide et une membrane électrolyte, qui est positionnée entre la cathode et l'anode. Une solution alcaline aqueuse est utilisée en tant qu'électrolyte liquide et un catalyseur ne contenant pas de platine, tolérant vis-à-vis de l'alcool, est utilisé en tant que catalyseur cathodique. L'objet de la présente invention est de créer une pile à combustible AAFC qui soit hautement efficace et peu coûteuse.
