A beer keg (22) for storing a beer (52) under pressure has an outer wall and a pressure relief passageway (100) extending through an outer wall of the beer keg. The beer keg has a bursting disk seated in the passageway normally closing the passageway. The disk (104) is adapted to rupture permitting fluid to escape from the beer keg through the passageway when the pressure in the beer keg exceeds a predetermined pressure value. The keg has a releasable cap (106) mounted thereto that covers the passageway. The releasable cap has vent openings (110) that permit the escape of fluid from the passageway. The cap is releasable to permit access to the passageway for changing the bursting disk. Preferably, a pressure build up in the keg in excess of about 7 bar results in the bursting disk rupturing.
Selon l'invention, un fût de bière permettant de stocker de la bière sous pression comprend une paroi extérieure et un passage de décompression qui s'étend dans une paroi extérieure du fût de bière. Ce fût de bière possède un disque de sécurité disposé dans le passage qui ferme normalement ce dernier. Le disque est conçu pour se rompre et permettre ainsi à un liquide de s'échapper du fût de bière par le passage lorsque la pression dans ledit fût dépasse une valeur de pression prédéterminée. Un couvercle amovible monté sur ledit fût recouvre le passage. Ce couvercle amovible comprend des ouvertures de ventilation qui permettent au liquide de s'échapper du passage. Le couvercle est amovible pour permettre d'accéder au passage dans le but de changer le disque de sécurité. De préférence, une accumulation de pression dans le fût dépassant environ 7 bars entraîne la rupture dudit disque de sécurité.
