A photobioreactor module that is adapted for stacking a plurality of such modules for producing algal bioproducts includes at least an upper and a lower light-transmitting member each having a plurality of openings, wherein the upper and lower light-transmitting members are spaced apart from one another and at least one of the upper and lower light-transmitting members includes at least one light connection terminal for coupling in light from a light source and transmitting the light laterally. A plurality of photobioreactor conduits each extending from respective openings in the upper and said lower light-transmitting member define algae containment interior spaces, wherein the plurality of photobioreactor conduits contact the upper and a lower light-transmitting members along areas of contact. The light transmitted laterally by the upper and lower light-transmitting members couples into the plurality of photobioreactor conduits along the areas of contact.
L'invention porte sur un module photobioréacteur qui est adapté pour empiler une pluralité de tels modules pour produire des bioproduits d'algues, lequel module comprend au moins un élément de transmission de lumière supérieur et inférieur, chacun ayant une pluralité d'ouvertures, les éléments de transmission de lumière supérieur et inférieur étant espacés l'un de l'autre et au moins l'un parmi les éléments de transmission de lumière supérieur et inférieur comprenant au moins une borne de connexion de lumière pour un couplage lumineux à partir d'une source de lumière et pour transmettre la lumière latéralement. Une pluralité de conduits de photobioréacteur, chacun s'étendant à partir d'ouvertures respectives dans ledit élément de transmission de lumière supérieur et inférieur définissent des espaces intérieurs de confinement des algues, la pluralité de conduits de photobioréacteur entrant en contact avec les éléments de transmission de lumière supérieur et inférieur le long de zones de contact. La lumière transmise latéralement par les éléments de transmission de lumière supérieur et inférieur couple dans la pluralité de conduits de photobioréacteur le long des zones de contact.
