-19- ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An electrical distributor for an internal combus- tion engine is provided with alignment devices which are an integral part of the distributor structure and that func- tions to position fully seated, reversably mounted spark plug terminals for sequential commutation by a roter elec- trode within the distributor. Wrongful insertion and seating of a first type of terminal into an aperture designed for acceptance of another type is prevented.
