A golf ball with an alignment guide includes at least two lines of printing. A first line of printing includes arrows at opposite ends of the line of printing to act as the alignment guide. A second line of printing is printed with a different color than the first line of printing. The second line of printing is legible when viewed from a first angle and appears to fade when viewed from a second angle so that the second line of printing does not distract the golfer's eye from the alignment guide. The second line of printing may include metallic particles to enhance this effect.
