An electrochemical cell has a cathode containing an expanded graphite as an electrically conductive carbon material. The expanded graphite has a kerosene absorption in the range of 2.2 to 3.5 ml/g, to provide enhanced service performance to the cell.

L'invention concerne une pile électrochimique dont la cathode contient un graphite expansé comme matériau carboné électroconducteur. Le graphite expansé présente une absorption du kérosène comprise entre 2,2 et 3,5 ml/g, ce qui permet d'améliorer les performances d'usage de ladite pile.
