ABSTRACT There is disclosed a compound of the formula: Image wherein R1, R2, and R3 are independently hydrogen, halogen, C1-6 alkyl, or haloalkyl; R4 is hydrogen; C1-4 alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxy, haloalkyl; C1-2 alkyl- amino, C1-2 alkylthio, C3-4 cycloalkyl, C2-6 alkoxy- alkyl, C2-6 alkylthiomethyl, amino, phenoxy, phen- amino, or furan and R5 is hydrogen or C1-4 alkyl. These compounds are used for regulating the growth of turf grass by applying an effective amount of the compound to the grass.
