ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An alkenylsuccinic acid emulsion sizing agent, wherein said alkenylsuccinic acid emulsion sizing agent has a solid concentration of at least 25% by weight, and comprises active components comprising an alkenylsuccinic acid present in an amount of at least 50 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the total active components in the alkenylsuccinic acid emulsion sizing agent; and, wherein said alkenylsuccinic acid is obtained by dispersing a product prepared by reacting a branched inner olefin having from 9 to 18 carbon atoms with maleic anhydride in water using an amphoteric acrylamide- series polymer. - 32 -
