L'invention concerne des alcoxysilacycloalcanes, leur procédé de préparation et leur utilisation en polymérisation des oléfines. Les alcoxysilacycloalcanes répondent notamment à la formule: Image dans laquelle X et Y représentent des radicaux hydrocarbonés et A représente un radical bivalent alkylène comprenant au moins un substituant alkyle, ledit radical bivalent comprenant, substituant(s) exclu(s), de 4 à 7 atomes de carbone. L'introduction de ces alcoxy- silacycloalcanes dans le milieu de polymérisation des oléfines permet de relever l'indice d'insolubilité dans l'heptane du polymère finalement formé.
