A process is described for producing an alkylaromatic compound, in which a first feed comprising an alkylatable aromatic compound and a second feed comprising an alkene are introduced into a first alkylation reaction zone comprising a first alkylation catalyst. The first alkylation reaction zone is operated under conditions effective to cause alkylation of the alkylatable aromatic compound by the alkene to produce said alkylaromatic compound, the conditions being such that the alkylatable aromatic compound is at least predominantly in the vapor phase. A first effluent comprising the alkylaromatic compound and unreacted alkylatable aromatic compound is withdrawn from the first alkylation reaction zone and at least part of the unreacted alkylatable aromatic compound is treated to remove catalyst poisons therefrom and produce a treated unreacted alkylatable aromatic stream. At least part of the unreacted alkylatable aromatic compound and a third feed comprising said alkene is introduced into a second alkylation reaction zone comprising a second alkylation catalyst. The second alkylation reaction zone is operated under conditions effective to cause alkylation of the unreacted alkylatable aromatic compound by the alkene to produce said alkylaromatic compound, the conditions being such that the alkylatable aromatic compound is at least predominantly in the liquid phase. A second effluent comprising said alkylaromatic compound is withdrawn from the second alkylation reaction zone.

L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'un composé alkylaromatique. Le procédé consiste à introduire une première alimentation renfermant un composé aromatique alkylable et une seconde alimentation renfermant un alcène dans une première zone de réaction d'alkylation contenant un premier catalyseur d'alkylation ; à mettre en uvre de la première zone de réaction d'alkylation dans des conditions pouvant provoquer une alkylation du composé aromatique alkylable par l'alcène pour produire le composé alkylaromatique, les conditions étant telles que le composé aromatique alkylable est, au moins principalement, en phase vapeur ; à retirer un premier effluent renfermant le composé alkylaromatique et du composé aromatique alkylable non réagi de la première zone de réaction d'alkylation ; à traiter au moins une partie du composé aromatique alkylable non réagi pour en retirer les poisons de catalyseur et produire un courant de substance aromatique alkylable non réagi traité ; à introduire au moins une partie du composé aromatique alkylable non réagi et une troisième alimentation comprenant l'alcène dans une seconde zone de réaction d'alkylation comprenant un second catalyseur d'alkylation ; à mettre en uvre la seconde zone de réaction d'alkylation dans des conditions aptes à provoquer une alkylation du composé aromatique alkylable non réagi par l'alcène pour produire le composé alkylaromatique, les conditions étant telles que le composé aromatique alkylable est au moins principalement en phase liquide ; à retirer un second effluent comprenant le composé alkylaromatique de la seconde zone de réaction d'alkylation.
